To honor the 15th anniversary of the record breaking Gran Turismo gaming series, its creator, Kazunori Yamauchi, asked several leading automotive makers and design agencies worldwide to create their version of future vehicles. Based the central theme “Vision Gran Turismo” along with a mandate that each virtual concept to function like a real car, Yamauchi and his production company, Polyphony Digital Inc., will incorporate them into Gran Turismo 6 on Sony PlayStation 4. One of the first to met those challenges was Mercedes-Benz and its Mercedes AMG performance division. Their entry, the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo was and still is awe-inspiring.

In a jaw-dropping style, the contour form of the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo conveys a sense of extreme speed, even while standing still. Protruding wheel wells, angled headlights, expressive grille, and glowing ambient lights all equate to an aggressive design. And Mercedes AMG engineers backed that appearance with a V8 biturbo engine capable of 585 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque.
